The word on the entertainment streets this week:

So this week was very busy in terms of entertainment news from messy divorces, to shying away from speaking about a divorce well let us get into it...

1. Minnie Dlamini ( formerly Jones) and the divorce no one saw coming'

So this was something I honestly saw coming when the television special happened in 2017 but then when the years went by I had a change of mind. The reason for this was because they had a winning formula; she was a popular television personality and he was a wealthy businessman. This is a formula that should work and some other girls should follow it but then it all went to hell when the announcement was made the day on 15 February when Mrs. Dlamini - Jones announced that the last two years have not been easy for them. This was also evident on an Instagram post on their fourth anniversary that everything was not joyous in the Jones household and marriage was not easy, which is a fact we all tend to forget before saying 'yes' to the proposal.

The official statement stated that the two will remain on good terms and have the best interests of the son that they share. I honestly wish them both happiness at this point as it is wise to know when to leave the party.

2. Wendy Williams mental health in question

This story shocked me to the core when I first read about it because I honestly thought the girl would be making her return to the screen very soon. I was honestly getting tired of the constant roll-out of mediocre stand-ins on her show. It has emerged that the media queen might be placed under guardianship which I honestly pray does not happen as we saw the consequences of this with Britney. It was also revealed that she currently does not have access to her finances as her bank has denied her access to her funds despite the numerous affidavits that she has submitted.

This is eerily similar to the ordeal that Britney went through the only difference is that Wendy's situation is not being played out on the public stage. The bank in question has requested that Wendy should be placed under guardianship and claim that they have "the best interests of their clients in mind". I just hope and pray that should guardianship be necessary that it will be done through her parents. The official statement from Wendy's camp is that she is undergoing treatment for her graves disease. I hope the girl bounces back because I honestly am not here for her being replaced by Sherri Shepard.

3. The official judging panel for the new season of Idols.

I am suprisingly pleased to announce that Thembi Seete and JR will be joining Somizi on the judging panel of this coming season of Idols. The new addition of judges makes a lot of sense to me as they are individuals who are seasoned in the entertainment industry. I do hope the ratings pick up.

Since we are on the topic of Somizi, during the official Idols press conference a question was directed to him regarding his divorce. The television personality gave the standard answer of 'my private life is private blah blah. The only comment I can make on his response is that the moment he invited us into his relationship through that reality show it became our business. I honestly wish him all the happiness and this was a lesson that he had to learn.

Until next week xoxo.....

In a perfect world when asked ‘Why do you watch reality television shows’ we might be quick to say we watch those shows because of the insights into the different lives and cultures of the cast members and so forth but if we are honest, it is the ongoing drama and conflict that has us tuning in to every episode of that specific shows. The reality show that is changing it all These reality shows such as The Real Housewives  franchises, The Mommy Club franchise, Big Brother  etc. are what we call our guilty pleasures. The 'revolt' against Beyonce

It is no secret that the release of a Beyonce album whether it is pre-announced or a surprise drop is bound to get the masses talking. The water-cooler talk can be both positive or negative.  This is seemingly the case with the upcoming release of the second act, Cowboy Carter  in the three act Renaissance series that Beyonce has gifted us with. The alternative album cover. Image via X @ColumbiaRecords The Cowboy Carter album sees the reigning queen of music exploring a genre which is not new within her discography and that is country music. This innovative move has sparked praise and criticism alike. The argument brought forward by the critics, most recently Azealia Banks, who is known for her very outspoken opinion, is that Beyonce is using 'victim mentality' to promote the album and to enter a market that will never embrace her. It can be said that her foray into country music has not been greatly welcomed by the listeners of the genre.  This resulted

REAL HOUSEWIVES OF DURBAN STATE OF AFFAIRS

The fourth season of The Real Housewives of Durban has not failed to deliver drama-filled episodes. The Durban based segment of the Real Housewives franchise is definitely in the frontrunner to be considered the leading African installment. The show has been getting viewers talking since it made its debut in 2021 and every season has delivered when it came to shade, drama and of course fabulous fashion. We are currently on episode 11 of the fourth season and there is much to dissect regarding the happenings of this season. 1. The ladies divided We left the group at the end of season 3 divided between Team Sorisha (Sorisha, Maria, Slee and Annie) and Team Nonku (Nonku & Jojo). The new season introduced three more ladies to the mix of the already divided circle. The new additions easily fitted into the group where most of them naturally gravitated towards the resident Queen B, I mean Sorisha. This was without the exception of Zama who ironically had been introduced to the group by S
