EVENTS TO BE SEEN AT:

Hi kids well I know I have been a little quiet but you know I was just getting my life. This summer is set to begin with some great events especially in the months of October and November. These events are not just fun-orientated events, but they are also great platform for promoting the great talent that we have here in the Nelson Mandela Bay. This would lead to a boost in the cultural scene of our great city

The second installment of the #BayKotaFest is set to be an unforgettable experience that will be held at The Tramways on 27 October. This is a type of event that is not traditionally held in Port Elizabeth and that right there is the key selling factor of this particular event.
This event is proof that entrepreneurs here in the Bay are thinking of innovative ways in order to bring their products to their consumers. I personally am looking forward to tasting the delicious food that will be sold at the event and enjoying the entertainment. The tickets are affordable and the lineup is inspired. I do hope to see you there.

This event is brought to the PE public by the Mvaba Ka Mvaba group. The event basically combines the feel of the Durban July as it will be held at the Fairview Race Course with the vibe of a great summer party. The line-up of the event promises to keep the audience on their feet throughout the event.
I definitely have started planning my outfits for this event. I will be doing a feature on the man behind the event as he has big plans for the PE entertainment scene. I will also be doing a write-up of the event.

Yaaaassssss!!! The Beat Lounge Experience is the type of event that I live for. The reason that I say that is because it basically celebrates all the notable female disk jockeys in Port Elizabeth such as Deep Soul Sister, Miss Jay and Lochive the DJ. The male ensemble of the line-up pays homage to the guys who are game changers in their specific genres such as Umle and Mleister. I will definitely be attending and giving you guys a write-up of the event.
Don't worry guys my events calendar contains more events that I will be bringing to you  guys. This is a brand new era my lovelies. Until next time :)

Image source: X (@NowInSa) It can be said that the ultimate ingredient to every reality show is drama but is The Mommy Club: Sugar and Spice proving that wrong? In a perfect world when asked ‘Why do you watch reality television shows’ we might be quick to say we watch those shows because of the insights into the different lives and cultures of the cast members and so forth but if we are honest, it is the ongoing drama and conflict that has us tuning in to every episode of that specific shows. The reality show that is changing it all These reality shows such as The Real Housewives  franchises, The Mommy Club franchise, Big Brother  etc. are what we call our guilty pleasures. The 'revolt' against Beyonce

It is no secret that the release of a Beyonce album whether it is pre-announced or a surprise drop is bound to get the masses talking. The water-cooler talk can be both positive or negative.  This is seemingly the case with the upcoming release of the second act, Cowboy Carter  in the three act Renaissance series that Beyonce has gifted us with. The alternative album cover. Image via X @ColumbiaRecords The Cowboy Carter album sees the reigning queen of music exploring a genre which is not new within her discography and that is country music. This innovative move has sparked praise and criticism alike. The argument brought forward by the critics, most recently Azealia Banks, who is known for her very outspoken opinion, is that Beyonce is using 'victim mentality' to promote the album and to enter a market that will never embrace her. It can be said that her foray into country music has not been greatly welcomed by the listeners of the genre.  This resulted

REAL HOUSEWIVES OF DURBAN STATE OF AFFAIRS

The fourth season of The Real Housewives of Durban has not failed to deliver drama-filled episodes. The Durban based segment of the Real Housewives franchise is definitely in the frontrunner to be considered the leading African installment. The show has been getting viewers talking since it made its debut in 2021 and every season has delivered when it came to shade, drama and of course fabulous fashion. We are currently on episode 11 of the fourth season and there is much to dissect regarding the happenings of this season. 1. The ladies divided We left the group at the end of season 3 divided between Team Sorisha (Sorisha, Maria, Slee and Annie) and Team Nonku (Nonku & Jojo). The new season introduced three more ladies to the mix of the already divided circle. The new additions easily fitted into the group where most of them naturally gravitated towards the resident Queen B, I mean Sorisha. This was without the exception of Zama who ironically had been introduced to the group by S
