WHY WE LOVE AND HATE BONANG

As fans of pop culture in South Africa, we are quite a fickle bunch. Our entertainment industry is filled with a lot of talented individuals, mostly television presenters. I think we are one of the few countries where television presenters have reached monumental levels of fame that can be equated with the level of fame that American celebrities have acquired. There is one celebrity though, whose star shines above the other stars of the South African entertainment industry. This star is Bonang Matheba and it can be stated that she is one of the most adored and hated celebrities in South Africa. Bonang Matheba has reached a level of fame that a handful of celebrities have managed to achieve. Nonhle Thema was close to reaching this level but 'twittergate' put the brakes on that rise to greatness. She is a renowned and celebrated television presenter, has an international contract with cosmetics giant Revlon, has a popular reality show and is adored by her 2.98 million f...

The June magazine covers are just fabulous and feature the leading ladies of South Africa from Bonang Matheba to the gorgeous Terry Pheto. 2018 MET GALA ROUNDUP

The biggest night in fashion was held on Monday 7 May 2018 at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in my favourite city in the world (one day I'll be happy to say I've been there) New York City. The theme for this year was Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination, basically a Madonna tribute since she has been wearing religious jewellery since the 1980's. The co-chair for the event was Donatella Versace and the co-hosts were Rihanna and Amal Clooney. The outfits were fabulous, some were not so impressive. There were some obvious absentees such as Beyonce. I was overally impressed with the looks that the A-list served at the Oscars of fashion. Here are our favourite looks from the night. Co-host and Queen of the Met Gala Rihanna in Martin Margiela by  John Galliano Blake Lively in Atelier Versace Solange killing it in Iris Van Herpen The Queen of New York Sarah jessica Parker Cardi B serving pregnancy goddess chic...
