1) Kanye West to release a new album today
Well according to the trusted resources the word on the street is that Kanye West is finally releasing a follow-up to the masterpiece that was 'Life of Pablo'. The new album is titled 'Jesus is King'. This is not surprising as Kanye has been hosting Sunday service performances all in the narrative that he is 'born again'. I have to say that after watching the trailer for the visual album which was released on 17 October.

The visual album was directed by acclaimed director, Nick Knight. The setting of the visual album is the Painted desert of Arizona where one of his Sunday services have taken place. The hype of the trailer was followed by the release of the official tracklist of the album. I must admit that when it comes to albums, Kanye has always been an artist that has always set the standard when it comes to the production of the albums. The album is sure to be no different so I will confess that I am looking forward to listening to the new album.

2) SK Khoza departs from the Queen

This came as a surprise considering the way that the plot of the telenovela was heading since the arrival of Dingaan, portrayed by Nay Maps. I have to say Shaka has always been a favourite character of mine on the show as he added another dimension to the complexity that is the Khoza family. It has been confirmed by the actor that is working on another Ferguson Films production.

There were rumours amidst the internet the Mr Khoza was a 'diva' on-set and caused various disturbances during production on The Queen. The fact that he is working on another product of Ferguson Films should be a sign that all is well between the two parties.  A statement was released by Connie Ferguson stating; "There's a lot that is happening in the story that we are not at liberty to discuss'. This is a very vague statement as it could be referring to the show's storyline or what is actually happening behind closed doors."

3) Idols twins' exit caused quite a stir

The unprecedented exist of the talented twins that had set social media and the general nation alight since their arrival on the talent contest. Virginia Qwabe had been eliminated from the show and then in an unexpected move her twin sister Viggy also pulled out from the show. The rumours that did the rounds was that the twins were being bullied by fellow contestant Snenhlanhla Sneziey Msomi. This has been greatly denied by Idols SA and Mzansi Magic.

The other story to surface from the twins' exit was the fact that the family members of the twins were notified of Virginia's exit before it was announced on the show. This led to a debate that the show was rigged. This was a statement that was echoed by their father, Laurence Qwabe, who urged his daughters to come back home. This has always been silent whispers that reality tv competitions are not quite what they appear to be. The PR spokesperson for Mzansi Magic Philly Khubeka, has stated that they are in talks with the Qwabe twins.

The 'revolt' against Beyonce

It is no secret that the release of a Beyonce album whether it is pre-announced or a surprise drop is bound to get the masses talking. The water-cooler talk can be both positive or negative.  This is seemingly the case with the upcoming release of the second act, Cowboy Carter  in the three act Renaissance series that Beyonce has gifted us with. The alternative album cover. Image via X @ColumbiaRecords The Cowboy Carter album sees the reigning queen of music exploring a genre which is not new within her discography and that is country music. This innovative move has sparked praise and criticism alike. The argument brought forward by the critics, most recently Azealia Banks, who is known for her very outspoken opinion, is that Beyonce is using 'victim mentality' to promote the album and to enter a market that will never embrace her. It can be said that her foray into country music has not been greatly welcomed by the listeners of the genre.  This resulted

REAL HOUSEWIVES OF DURBAN STATE OF AFFAIRS

The fourth season of The Real Housewives of Durban has not failed to deliver drama-filled episodes. The Durban based segment of the Real Housewives franchise is definitely in the frontrunner to be considered the leading African installment. The show has been getting viewers talking since it made its debut in 2021 and every season has delivered when it came to shade, drama and of course fabulous fashion. We are currently on episode 11 of the fourth season and there is much to dissect regarding the happenings of this season. 1. The ladies divided We left the group at the end of season 3 divided between Team Sorisha (Sorisha, Maria, Slee and Annie) and Team Nonku (Nonku & Jojo). The new season introduced three more ladies to the mix of the already divided circle. The new additions easily fitted into the group where most of them naturally gravitated towards the resident Queen B, I mean Sorisha. This was without the exception of Zama who ironically had been introduced to the group by S
